Music Review (Telugu): Shatamanam Bhavati

Music Review (Telugu): Shatamanam Bhavati
Music Composer: Mickey J Meyer

Mellaga Tellarindoi's tribal sounds coupled with the folk tone of the song is a pleasant listen and the tune reminds of the composer's previous A..AA especially chorus portions Ramya Behara and Anurag Kulkarni did a splendid job with enough support from Mohana Bogharaju while Srimani's unadulterated Telugu lyrics aids the native tune really well. Mickey J Meyer continues to stick to his Seethamma Vaakitlo's title song template to his recent movies and the serene tune along with simple orchestration works immaculately. KS Chitra did wonder with her magic vocals for this title song also while Vijay Yesudas bestows his earnest support. The lullaby'ish feel to the charanam portions makes this one endearing if one able to decouple the tune with composer's earlier works.

Naalo Nenu is the decent synth dominated track which falls into the average zone and the languishing tune is made lively by Sameera Bharadwaj's vocals and the layering in her vocals makes this one satisfactory despite the track is loaded with tried and tested background sounds. Nilavade's synth and Arun Chiluveru's guitar strums beautifully evocate Ilayaraja's numerous songs and S P Balasubramanyam's vocals never ages, the humming and the chorus portions easily works to the song's favour. It's great delight to listen SPB's vocals and Mickey J Meyer embellishes his vocals with apt orchestration.Hailo Haillessare's folk soaked chorus portions handled by the bunch of singers led by Aditya Iyengar, Rohith Paritala, Mohana Bhogaraju and Divya Divakar. Though the transition from prelude portions to the main tune appears constrained, the easily appealing rhythmic folk tune makes this one harmless listen.

Verdict: Mickey J Meyer's continues to reutilize his pleasant tunes and Shatamanam Bhavati is the minimum guarantee soundtrack from the composer with Nilvade being the towering nostalgic highlight of this clear soundtrack.

My Rating: 7/10

Pick of the Album: Nilavade, Shatamanam Bhavati, Mellaga Tellarindoi.
